regard for one’s own well-being and happiness (chiefly considered as a desirable rather than narcissistic characteristic).
A solemn ceremony consisting of a series of actions performed according to a prescribed order.
Did you know that if you spend a few minutes a day loving yourself you could achieve the life you’ve always wanted?
For a long time, I walked through life on automatic missing the connection between my body mind and soul. Viewing them as separate and unrelated aspects of my being. I would look in the mirror and focus on the negative parts, almost as if I was trying to humble myself. I equated negative self-talk to staying true to myself. I needed to cut myself down before anyone else could. This would then turn into doubt and distrust of my inner voice. I would seek others advice above what my intuition was telling. This caused a lot of heartbreak and led me to make a lot of wrong decisions.
I started to see the patterns in my life, the unspoken and unhealthy rituals. Every negative word I uttered sent signals to my body manifesting in breakouts, dullness, and loss of elasticity. My skin seemed to lose its glow. The lines on my face seemed more pronounded. I began to pay attention to the way I reacted with others complimented me. I had a difficult time receiving praise and I knew that instead of helping me, this was hindering me. I was diminishing my light and radiance. I couldn’t see the beauty within me.
The last few months. I’ve incorporated a self-acceptance ritual to my skin care routine. I look at myself in the mirror and say “I love and accept myself exactly as I am”. There have been days where I’ve experienced resistance, yet I move past it and show up for myself. Rituals help keep emotions in check and eat away past traumas. It creates balance and helps us deal with the world around us. By establishing a ritual the connection between your soul, heart, and mind become stronger.
Whether you realize it or not many of the things you do throughout your daily life are part of a ritual. The words you say to yourself become a mantra. It’s vital to pay attention to what you say and how they affect you. When we speak kind words to ourselves we strengthen the love and connection within. You begin to fall in love with who you are.
Every day you spend loving yourself you are honoring the beauty within you. You get closer to your purpose and achieving the life you’ve always wanted. Falling in love and becoming your own best friend, strengthening the connection within the self. You become unstoppable.
Your beauty comes from your spirit and not your physical body.
Here’s a simple ritual can be done either in the morning or evening and you may have feelings come to the surface, simply allow and observe without judgment.

- Looking in the mirror apply eye cream in a circular motion while looking in the mirror and say “I love and accept myself exactly as I am.” Repeating this at least 5 times.
- Now apply moisturizer or face oil in the same circular motion while repeating the mantra. Doing this for a minimum of 3 minutes.
